A 35-year-old individual has been apprehended for unlawfully accessing over 5,000 customer accounts of a renowned global hosting provider to utilize the organization’s server resources for cryptocurrency mining. This illicit activity is a violation of cybersecurity laws, which can result in severe penalties. The accused is facing a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

Law enforcement agencies conducted an extensive investigation, revealing that the suspect had employed sophisticated hacking techniques to bypass security measures and gain access to customer accounts.
