Sweden Faces Cybersecurity Threat: Prime Minister Issues Urgent Warning

Sweden is currently facing significant cyberattacks, as articulated by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson during a press conference on Wednesday. Over the course of three days, disruptions have impacted several critical institutions, including the public broadcaster SVT.

“We are exposed to enormous cyberattacks. The incidents affecting SVT have been confirmed, alongside similar disruptions affecting financial institutions and Bank ID services,” Kristersson informed members of the press at the parliamentary session.
