Introduction of PDF Download Feature for In-Depth Research in ChatGPT

مقالات

ChatGPT’s Deep Research feature, which facilitates in-depth research for complex tasks, is set to introduce a long-awaited functionality: the option to save reports as PDF files.

By utilizing the Deep Research feature, users can enable the AI to autonomously gather and compile information. ChatGPT scans extensive resources across the internet and synthesizes data from multiple websites to generate a detailed report.

Currently, users can copy the generated report; however, this method has limitations, as the formatting often becomes distorted when pasted into word processing applications. Tests conducted indicate that copying these reports into Word results in significant loss of formatting integrity.

The forthcoming “Download as PDF” option is anticipated to alleviate these issues, preserving the original layout of reports and improving overall usability. Feedback from users and developers suggests that this feature is under testing in the web app, though a timeline for widespread rollout remains unspecified.

Upon generating a Deep Research report, the “Download as PDF” function is expected to be located adjacent to the existing copy button, enhancing the user experience.

Furthermore, OpenAI is introducing a new integration with GitHub for users subscribed to ChatGPT Teams, expanding the tool’s capabilities for collaborative research efforts.
